Can “Prison” be used as a Metaphor?

Ever feel trapped by something?
Many things can “seem” like a trap to us.
Societal Rules. Legal Restrictions.
Limitation to weight and height.
These which appear to ensnare us by someone elses cruelty.

When we are young, its our age, our parents, and school teachers.
Having no drivers license kept us home from having fun with our friends.
Then we had a license, but no car.
Then a car, but no insurance.
Then insurance, but no money for gas.
Then we had to got a job,
just to pay for the car insurance and gas.
But then we had no free time due to our job.
Trapped again, this time for money exchange
which becomes another cage
limiting our freedom, our joy, our ability to breathe.

Do you feel as though your breaths are limited?
As if a weight is sitting on your chest
keeping you from fully inhaling the fresh air you need to fully live ?

Isaiah 42:6-7
"I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness;
I will take hold of your hand.
I will keep you and will make you
to be a covenant for the people
and a light for the Gentiles,
to open the eyes that are blind,
to free captives from prison
and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness."

The Jewish people of Isaiah's day were withered,
and we're not producing fruit in the surrounding nations.
They saw only their constraints,
and thus missed much of what God wanted for them.

Can you see only your limitations?
If God made you to be unique
then your precise height, weight, hair color,
gender, intelligence, and place of birth,
all *add* to the makeup of who you are for Christ.

But in our minds eye, we see only one option...
that we are different.
And the lie from Satan is that difference is bad,
and has no place in the world.

Success depends not on who or where you are physically,
but what you do with what you carry inside.

Do you doubt can make you successful?
Then perhaps you cannot see His vision for your life.
Thats where faith comes in.
Trust in Him, and take a bold step forward,
because He has a plan for your tomorrow.
Will you be ready to accept it?

Blessings-are what God longs to give those who follow Him with a whole heart.
Not that He withholds any good thing from us,
but that He longs to reward our faithfulness.
